A Brief Profile of the College

Arya P.G. College, Paniapt a premier Institute of higher education in Panipat started its journey towards excellence in the Year 1954. Founded under aegis of Arya Samaj Bara Bazar, Panipat to fulfil Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s dream of leading the youth “From Darkness unto Light” , the college is committed for the physical, psychological and Intellectual development of the youth by blending modern and traditional Vedic education. From modest start to a lush green campus spread over 17 acres, from 176 students to a strength of around 3000 students, from limited subject options to a wide variety of subjects and streams including most innovative and vocational (both at UG & PG), from modest chalk and talk method to internationally acclaimed teaching/learning aids and techniques, from humble tools to a world class infrastructure – it has been a meteoric rise of the College with unparalleled honours and accolades.
The ever increasing number of positions of merits in the university secured by our students and the distinctions won in the fields of sports, cultural and co-curricular activities are a living testimony of the progressive graph of the college accredited B++ by the NAAC and ISO-9001-2000 certification by KVQA. University Grants Commission(UGC), New Delhi recognized the achievements of the college in diverse field and bestowed on it a unique status of “Centre with Potential for Excellence (CPE)” . this status is given to 149 best colleges of India. The college is progressing by leaps and bounds with untiring and continuous efforts of our able and dynamic President of our college Managing Committee Sh. Ravinder Gupta, Vice President Sh. Megh Raj Arya, General Secretary Sh. Surinder Shingla, and Treasurer Sh. Kulbhushan Arya. Earlier Late Sh. O.P., Shingla Ji has not only served the College as General Secretary of the Governing Body but also became General Secretary of Union of the “All Haryana Non - Governmental Aided College’s Management.”
The college is situated opposite to bus stand on the G.T. Road, Panipat. Its magnificent building with architectural beauty and lush green campus can impress any intellectual. In addition to under graduate courses in arts, commerce and science, the college is providing education in post graduate courses in economics, english and commerce. Keeping in pace with the present times the college has successfully introduced many job oriented courses approved by Haryana Government and Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra like BCA, BBA, BBI, BA(MC), BTM, PGDCA, Bio-technology, Fashion Designing and Psychology. To make under graduate degree more useful many Add-on Certificate courses approved by UGC in Export Management, Insurance Management, E-Commerce, Retail Marketing and Computer Maintenance, photography & Videography, Fashion Designing, Certificate and Foundation Course in Human Rights Education etc. are also offered to the students in the College.
The concentrated endeavor of the College is not only to educate but also to inculcate a system of core values into youth which would keep their fundamental principles intact and provide them knowledge and power to sail through life . To achieve this pious goal special attention is for the provision of every facility in the campus of the College.
